About the Artist
I have been an artist for as long as I can remember.
Using a combination of acrylic and oil paints, I like to create artwork inspired by my own home grown food and my experiences of living in the countryside. My paintings show a natural world which is vibrant, where joy is found in the small things - from the mushrooms and nettles growing in the corner of the garden, to the glut of tomatoes harvested in late summer.
I care passionately for the environment and I do my best to be what I can best describe as 'impact conscious' in my artwork. This usually takes the form of using recycled/ second hand materials (paint, canvas, frames etc.) and looking after my paintbrushes so that they will serve me as well as they served my grandad when he was alive. Where possible I will show the process of using second hand materials and you'll notice that I nearly never buy new to frame my artwork.
In 2026, I am starting the journey of selling my artwork online and attending markets in my local area (West Berkshire/ Oxfordshire UK) and look forward to seeing you there.
